Local clients are looking to create their family home for the long-term on a seaside plot in Nehaj, Kaštel Štafilić. Although the plot is ideally located 50m from a beachfront playground and café, there are considerations of overlooking and overshadowing. The proposals started with a high courtyard wall of local stone – forming a more private and defined space. The building rests on the northern wall of the courtyard, or ‘dvor’, taking advantage of the sea views from first floor and creating a sheltered, shaded, inside-outside living area below.
